Jewellery Parties - Staying in is the new going out!

When you're tempted to hit the shops and max out the credit cards, sometimes rather than a new outfit, what you need is some carefully selected pieces of jewellery to breathe a bit of life back into those old favourites. A splash of colour or sparkle can go a long way to lift your mood and give you that slightly better dressed feeling!

The high street is full of retailers offering fashion jewellery but it isn't always easy to try on and it’s unlikely you will want to trudge around the shops with all the clothes you are looking to inspire with new life!

What you need is the opportunity to try on lots of designs, with the outfits you want them to go with, surrounded by friends that will give you an honest opinion of how it all looks. In response to these needs, I started holding jewellery parties a few years back and they have proved to be a real hit.

These parties are a chance to view a large selection of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, try them on and have time to make good decisions on items that you are going to get lots of wear out of. On top of that, it’s a rare opportunity for a glass of red and a good old gossip with the girls!!

The prices are comparable to the high street, but all handmade in the UK (a rarity nowadays!) Jewellery can be purchased on the night or special orders can be placed when a more bespoke service is required.

They are also a great way to find a gift. It's difficult to be original nowadays when present buying, but a handmade piece of jewellery, carefully chosen, is just that little bit extra special. Even more thoughtful is commissioning a bespoke piece (for no additional charge) in the lucky person's favourite colours or birthstone.

So, all you need is a love of jewellery, a bunch of friends (whose opinions you trust!) and the enthusiasm for a great girls night in!
